About the Role
We are seeking a skilled SAP Datasphere Engineer to design, develop, and maintain modern data models, pipelines, and integrations using SAP Datasphere (formerly SAP Data Warehouse Cloud). The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, data architects, and analytics teams to deliver scalable and secure data solutions that support business intelligence, reporting, and advanced analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize data models and semantic layers in SAP Datasphere.
Build and maintain data flows (ETL/ELT pipelines) for data ingestion, transformation, and integration from SAP and non-SAP systems.
Configure and manage spaces, connections, users, and security roles in SAP Datasphere.
Integrate Datasphere with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and other BI/analytics tools.
Collaborate with business users to translate requirements into technical data models and reports.
Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance standards are followed.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of data pipelines and queries.
Work with SAP BTP services (HANA Cloud, Data Intelligence, API management) for end-to-end solutions.
Stay updated on the latest SAP Datasphere features, best practices, and roadmap.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2–6 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or BI development.
Hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere / SAP Data Warehouse Cloud.
Strong knowledge of SAP HANA (SQL, SQLScript, performance tuning).
Experience in ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and data modeling.
Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, or ECC data structures.
Understanding of data federation vs. replication concepts.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (SAP BTP, AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
Experience with BI tools (SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) preferred.

Continuous learner with an interest in emerging data and SAP technologies.
Nice-to-Have (Optional)
Knowledge of Python, R, or scripting languages for data processing.
Familiarity with APIs, OData, CDS Views for data integration.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
